Meet Demetrio

Demetrio is an Engineering Instrumentation Technician with a profound passion for electric vehicles. His journey in the EV industry began over three decades ago at Goodyear, where an encounter with a GM EV1 sparked his fascination. Since then, Demetrio has left an indelible mark on the EV landscape, lending his expertise to companies such as Rivian, Canoo, and Phoenix Motors. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the creation of the first all-electric truck, a milestone celebrated at the EV conference hosted at the White House in 2002.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Demetrio finds solace in nature, and loves to indulge in  camping trips with his family. While outfitting his R1T for camping adventures, he found the MoonShade and realized that it was exactly what he was looking for. Something small, versatile and lightweight that wasn't permanently attached to the vehicle.
