"MoonShade + Egg = Love. "
Recently retired, they savor their time on the road exploring new places and meeting new people. Their “egg”, a Scamp 16 travel trailer, delivers the comfort and simplicity they want in all aspects of life. The modest size of the Scamp enables them to camp in almost any site, and its smooth fiberglass exterior provides a low maintenance, durable shelter from the elements. Their camping adventures typically include a mix of camping in their home state of Minnesota, and longer excursions across the USA. Their favorite activities while “Scamping” include hikes with their dog, Benmont, exploring small towns, and relaxing in the cozy environs of the Scamp+MoonShade - preferably with a local brew. Choosing a MoonShade for their Scamp was an easy decision for a variety of reasons. Of course, creating extra living space was on the top of the list, but shading the “egg”, and specifically the refrigerator intake vent, delivered the unexpected benefit of helping their on-board absorption-style refrigerator keep food cold and safe during periods of extreme heat. The smooth fiberglass surface of their Scamp trailer, similar to a fiberglass boat, has proven to be an ideal surface for the SeaSucker anchor system. The SeaSucker anchors, and the strut pole included with the MoonShade, allows them to mount the MoonShade on any of the four sides of the Scamp. Product reputation/quality and small storage size were also important factors in their decision to purchase a MoonShade.
