These came on my Starlink Mini roof mount. The two that suction to the moonroof glass don't like to stay seated very well. I have to pump them up every day. I've tried cleaning the glass and applying moisture as recommended, but for some reason it doesn't like the glass. Maybe it's because the temperature fluctuates so much in the sun with the tinted glass. The two that are mounted to the white painted truck roof seem to be fine.

Holds on great! I like how red shows on the pump button when the suction starts losing its hold.

Is this a new product that may be replaced? It's different than the one we saw in the pictures when we ordered the wonderful awning with the anchors. These different anchors were mounted on a clean hard service with moisture as instructed and pumped all the way. There must be a flaw in the suction pressure mechanism because the pressure will slowly reduce and come loose within a day. It happened a few times so every day I would pump it up again. Also, my friend had a suction tool that repair shops use to pull dents out of cars and it worked really well on one side while I only had to pump the MoonMount side. Sometimes a new product can be a great improvement, but sometimes it doesn't work out. We really like the awning (12 by 9) and are very happy with it, so it was a surprise that the anchors failed.

Well constructed and hold great! The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was they really have to have a flat surface to adhere. I asked which anchor was best for our Scamp and they said the round ones. If I anchor high on the roofline they’re great . However, the ideal positioning for us is on the slightly curved area so assuming I will need to purchase the longer ones. They are easy to use and seem to hold very well!

Was going to mount awning to roof rack but removed rack due to wind noise and find vacuum mounts to be more convenient.

What is the difference between the Oval and Round MoonMounts?
Some SUVs and trucks have roof features like rain gutters or ridges that make it difficult—or even impossible—to install the 4.5" round MoonMount, as it requires a wider flat area. In these cases, the Oval MoonMount is a better fit. If the available space on your roof is less than 4.75 inches wide, we recommend using the Oval MoonMount.

Vacuum Mount Instructions:

Clean both the mounting surface and the vacuum pads thoroughly.
Moisten the sealing surface of the MoonMount pad.
Position the MoonMount so the Indicator Line is visible on the plunger.
Pump each plunger until the mount is firmly attached and the Indicator Line is no longer visible.
Check regularly during use. If the indicator line becomes visible again:
- Pump the plunger until the indicator line disappears.
- If the indicator line keeps reappearing, clean the surface and vacuum pads again, then reinstall.
