It can get dark and feel dreary under a dark awning. The light color of the golden hour is really nice on a rainy day or in the evening. We use ours with our teardrop camper by attaching it to the roof rack with some velcro straps we purchased elsewhere. Didn't really have much luck with the large or small suction cups on the aluminum skin.

i have a 99 ford e-150 that was used for prisoner transport. the shade size 7x9 covered the passenger door and the sliding door. which is great cause it covers that area wen the rain or snow or sun comes out. I tried putting up tarps with added poles and rope which was ok but to heavy and cumbersome when putting up and took way too long . the shade is easy set up and vey lightweight. which is a big factor with me. Iam all about light weight and compact. This for me is great. But i used it for the 1st time i notice it had tiny pin holes in the seam along the little hang loops along the center. but other than that its great product and i love it.

Love everything about this shade. So tired of those ugly, expensive awnings on my rigs (yes Fiama, yes Thule). Love the versatility of this shade.
